The Four (4) Week Variety Package: This is probably Medifast's most popular package and it is one that makes the 5 plus 1 plan easy to carry out. With this package, you are given 143 meals which includes a sampling of some of the most popular products. Here is how it is broken down. As of this writing, you get 42 shakes in different flavors like Dutch chocolate, French vanilla, strawberry, and banana. You get 28 bars in various flavors like peanut butter crunch and lemon meringue. They include fourteen oatmeal in the flavors of apple cinnamon and maple and brown sugar. You get seven meals of eggs and fourteen soups. You also get seven brownies and seven chocolate chip pancakes. There are 14 soft serve ice cream servings and seven cappuccinos. You are also given three free bonus meals. The cost of this package is $315 before coupons.
The Gluten Free 4 Week Variety Package: This package is set up like the regular variety package except for all of the 143 offerings are gluten free. This package is meant for those with celiac disease or those who can't properly digest or tolerate gluten. Here is what is offered: 42 shakes in the flavors of orange, chocolate and vanilla; 35 soups in various gluten free flavors; 14 hot drinks including cappuccino and chai latte; seven banana puddings; 7 brownies; 7 regular pancakes; 7 chocolate mint soft serves; 7 cranberry fruit drinks; seven eggs; and seven dark chocolate antioxidant shakes. This one is priced exactly the same as the others, at $315 before coupons.
The Diabetes 4 Week Package: This package is for those with diabetes or for those who want to consume foods that are low on the glycemic scale because of health concerns. There are 143 meals in this package also. This package includes 42 shakes in the flavors of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. You get 42 bars in the flavors of chocolate mint crunch, peanut butter crunch, oatmeal raisin, and lemon meringue. You get 21 oatmeal and 28 soups in various flavors. You get seven fruit drinks and three bonus meals. All of the meals and flavors are chosen because they are low in carbs and sugars. This package is $315 also.
The Four Week Variety Package With Omega: This package is very similar to the regular 4 week package but it includes a very high quality omega 3 supplement meant for heart health. You get the same foods as the regular variety package and the supplement is included. This package is a little more because of the supplements at $339.95.
There are also 2 week variety packages available that are very similar to the ones that I have described above, but with about half of the food. Instead of getting 143 meals per package, you get 70 meals. The cost for the two week packages is $162.50, but these smaller packages are meant for folks with a small amount of weight to lose (as in 10 pounds or less.)
