The healthy food groups consist of vegetables and fruits, grains, dairy, meat, good fats and water. The food groups can easily be broken down into further categories with respect to the calories and taste. Be comfortable that if you are eating from all the food groups you are surly to get all the necessary nutrients. The nutrients your body gets from catering all the groups are carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, fats, minerals and water.
You can increase the list of food groups with as per your taste buds – some days you can move towards the food that you love other days it can be only vegan food – but in a week you should be able to cater all of the groups; so that you don’t fall back in any of your nutritional values. Meaning that any one food group or anyone one food that you are eating is not completely enough to give your body all the nourishment it needs.
A balanced diet is the one, which is catering all the healthy food groups for providing the right quality of fuel for our body. The list of food groups that you design for yourself should be exciting and fun, so that the variety keeps you going. If you design yourself a single diet with the same food to eat for the next 4 weeks, catering all the nutrients, you won’t be able to. The fun in the food groups for your eyes, taste buds and digestives system is that the list of food groups are played with and tossed around; while remaining in the healthy food groups.
Food groups are the only healthy way to lose that extra fat off, gaining energy, feel good about you, feeling light and yet the calories will be decreasing with the increasing nutrition’s. so healthy food groups here we come!
