A fairly large number of people believe that eating less or going for dieting will help them in reducing their weight however this is not the case always. The first thing you need to realize is that dieting is not a solution to overweight. You cannot lose weight without eating or even if you will reduce the quantity of food you eat, you will not lose instead you will start gaining weight.
This is how it works.
When you do not eat at all or when you eat less than what your body needs, your brain and entire body goes into a reactive state. Individual cells send message to brain that they are not getting food and nutrients. The brain checks the stomach, it finds it empty and it instantly sends message to every single cell that 'there is no food in the stomach and they must NOT use fat rather hold fat just in case things don't work out and get worse'.
So what happens is your body doesn't consume body fat rather it waits for the stomach to get food again. So you see dieting doesn't work and it is no good for weight reduction until and unless you do not take any fat-burning medicine or supplement to boost up the fat burning process. Then and only then dieting will work for you otherwise it will ruin your health and body.
Alternately, you need to keep eating if you want to lose weight. This will help you a lot in achieving your goals. I am not saying to eat whatever you find rather you need to eat healthy quality food. Provide your body with all the nutrients that it needs. It is a good idea to:
- Take 3 meals a day
- Take 2-3 snacks per day.
- Add fruits, salads, non-carbonated juices and other healthy foods in your diet especially in snacks.
- Never prolong your hunger. Whenever you feel hungry, take a snack to kill your hunger.
When you eat throughout the day on regular intervals your body's metabolism speeds up that means all the food is converted into energy. Meantime, when your stomach gets empty, brain sends message to body cells that use fat and convert it into energy because food will be on its way.
