Earlier I wrote an article on the benefits of Whey Protein. As you found out, it is a great source of protein for a fitness diet, but it did have some drawbacks. One was the fact that too much of it was very bad for you. Now with soy protein, there is not that worry of having too much. Soy protein is an excellent source of protein as I will show you.
1. Soy protein is obviously a plant protein and not an animal protein. It is derived from soybeans which is a big DUH! being a plant protein, it is easily digested into your body for quick nutrition for your muscles. It also is virtually free of any fats which is awesome.
2. Animal protein is good but does come with some inherent risk factors. One is you will get some byproducts depending on what the animal was fed or ingested on their own. The farmer might have fed a cow steroids to pump them up for a better sale, or they might have been sick and been given medications. This could show up in the beef or chicken you eat for your protein. Soybeans grow naturally and you have none of the risk, and again, soy digests much easier than meat.
3. With soybeans being naturally very low in fat, and there being many food substitutes made of soy, you can add it to almost any dish and increase the protein you take in. This is such a boon for your diet. It is so easy to add this to any of your normal dishes without having to cook something special all the time to get your protein. You also can be a vegetarian and easily get all the protein you need for your fitness workouts.
4. Soy is also full of other nutrients besides protein. They have a nutrient called saponins which is a major help to your immune system, also phytosterols which helps prevent the absorption of cholesterol into your body, and isoflavins which are like bioflavenoids, with lots of vitamin C and vitamin A, in the fact that they are a super anti oxidant which helps ward off some cancers, or so they say.
5. Like I stated above, there is no danger to how much soy protein you add to your diet. So you can super size your protein intake which will help your muscles grow and recover from workouts quite rapidly. It is a super protein source and one you should begin to add to your fitness diet. There are no side effects to soy protein at all.
So, it is quite plain to see, soy protein from soybeans will be a boon to any fitness workout diet. As a matter of fact, protein from soybeans would be great as just an addition to a regular diet to help lose weight and keep it off.
