Lose Weight, No Sweat!

Losing weight can be one of the most difficult things to achieve. You may have already tried out every trick on the book, every diet and exercise, but none has worked for you.

Maybe now is the time to try out something different. In choosing between dieting and the strenuous work out... I prefer the former! You can still eat... but just lesser... and only if you know when to eat at the right time and the right kind of food!

You may have heard about the famous Atkins diet which disallows you to eat your favourite "carbo- laden" dish such as your favourite pasta, bread, rice and also pancakes and waffles. On the other hand, you may wolf down your beef steak and fried chicken like no one's business.

What I am going to say next may surprise you because... although I am also going to ask you to reduce on your carbs... the good news is that you do not have to AVOID them altogether!!!

Take note that I am not promising you the sun and the sky like helping you lose 3 kg a week. This is ridiculous and can be dangerous!! In fact, never believe ANY website, advertisement, creams, pills that makes such dangerous promises because that can be fatal...

Just follow the three simple diet tips and I promise you may find yourself dropping 1/2kg to 1kg within two to three weeks!

1. Starting from tomorrow... TRY cutting your rice/ noodle/pasta to 1/3rd portion less. You may feel hungry or not feel satiated at the start... but by the second week... your body will begin to accept that new portion. If you are unable to stick to this new diet till the end of the first week... e.g you still feel hungry and need to finish the whole plate of rice by the 5th day... give yourself some time (e.g a one week break) before you restart again. As you push yourself further... your body and mind will start to adapt to this new diet plan. Chances are... you may succeed by the 2nd or 3rd try!

2. Opt the citrus way now! Choose more citrus fruits like oranges, grapes, grapefruits or even lemon/lime juice (don't drink on an empty stomach) over other types of fruits. Fruits such as watermelon, melons and mangoes generally contain a lot of fructose which is fruit sugar, and they lead to weight gain if you do not burn off this form of sugar. Citrus fruits are not as sweet as the rest... hence they do not contain as much sugar than the rest... and of course... less calories!

3. Lastly... while root vegetables such as tapioca, potato, yams and sweet potatoes contain good amount of dietary fibre... they contain equally high amount of starch and carbohydrates as well. If you have to eat them... stick to about half a portion a day... which is about half your palm size!

Remember to always weigh yourself first before you start any of the diet regime above. This will help you monitor your weight... and very fast... you will feel the scale going your way.
