3 Great Tips That Are Guaranteed To Help Your Weight Loss Program

Keep to a schedule. By creating a schedule you will be filling up your downtime. Downtime is that time when you do not have anything planned, or anything to do. Whenever we have any downtime we usually fill it up with whatever we are used to doing, with things that are familiar to us. Depending on the kinds of habits you have developed for yourself, your downtime will reflect those habits to you, for better or for worse.

So when you are creating your schedule go slow in the beginning. Don't leave yourself too much downtime and at the same time don't fill your schedule so full that there is no breathing room. It's just as much an art as a science. Remember to be kind to yourself and don't set the bar so high that you are doomed to fail from the beginning. I would recommend creating a schedule to track your weight loss progress and perhaps your eating schedule and exercise schedule.

Take responsibility for making your own meals. There is a certain feeling of connectivity to your food when you prepare it yourself. This connectivity can make all the difference in the world in terms of feeling nurtured by the food you eat. An example of this is that after I started to take responsibility for making my own lunches it turned things around for me. Prior to my taking responsibility, I would leave lunch to chance.

Leaving lunch to chance meant that I would leave the office and just go out and eat at the first place that attracted my attention. I would look forward to lunch as a reward for working hard all morning and boy did I deserve to over eat to make up for the difficult morning that I just had. Taking responsibility is a cornerstone to any successful weight loss program.

If the first thing that comes to mind is that you don't have the time because you're too busy to make your own food then I think that's a great place to start and look at EXACTLY what you're too busy doing instead of taking care of your body!

Talk up your weight loss plans, goals and success with your friends and family. This will encourage you to stick to whatever plan you are on and it will invite the support of friends and family which is so important in helping you in actually achieving your goals. Most of the time we don't achieve our goals not because we could not meet them but because we just pain gave up trying. This sense of resignation, in part, is from not feeling supported, loved and encouraged by the people around us any more importantly by the people we love.
